ABOUT

Over the years, I have worked in many different fields, often where people, language, education and social questions meet. I have always been interested in how things work, what connects people, and where something can be changed.

The Offline Declaration began with a growing sense of frustration about the gap between the principles we share and the reality around us. I began to wonder what would happen if those principles were taken out of the stream of information and given physical form.

Much of the work was made while travelling through Europe in my van, somewhere between places, without a fixed studio. The project travelled with me: in boxes, in the back of the van, and eventually into a yurt in Portugal.

Somewhere along the way, The Offline Declaration began to develop a life of its own. Now, rather than deciding where it should go, I find myself following.
